Take the #nonprofitsvote pledge today!

Casting a vote is powerful. Imagine the future we can build through the collective power of more than 6,000 nonprofits in Edmonton joining together to get out the vote.

By signing this pledge, on October 18 I vote to support:

  1. Ensuring that the non-profit sector has a seat at the table and organizations are supported as valued partners and collaborators with the City of Edmonton.
  2. Recognizing the value of preventative social services and the broad impact of the Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) program.
  3. Continued funding and development of municipal anti-racism and poverty-reduction initiatives that create a happier, healthier, and more just society for all Edmontonians.
  4. Building an economy for all—one which spurs opportunities and increases investment across the income spectrum.
  5. Continued commitment to reconciliation with Canada’s Indigenous peoples and tangible changes that reflect the Truth & Reconciliation Commission’s 94 Calls to Action.

By joining the Edmonton #nonprofitsvote campaign, you:

  • Pledge to vote in the upcoming municipal election.
  • Challenge your social networks to do the same
  • Share your pledge on social media! Post your photo or video pledge with #nonprofitsvote.
  • Get informed so you can vote with confidence. Know who is running and be prepared to ask candidates important questions about how they plan to support the nonprofit sector.
  • Plan Your Vote. Prepare the when, how and where of your personal vote plan.

Edmonton #nonprofitsvote is a nonpartisan effort led by the Edmonton Chamber of Voluntary Organizations. The #nonprofitsvote materials are not intended to endorse or oppose candidates or political parties.

Upon filling in the pledge form, you will be added to The Nonprofit Vote's email list to receive important communications as we grow our movement across Alberta. You can unsubscribe at any time from the link included in every message.
